My name is Carly. I’m a new CNM who decided to volunteer in Haiti while waiting for the credentialing process to be completed at what will be my first midwifery job, at an FQHC in north Chicago. I’m volunteering through Midwife Pilgrim, in Torbeck, Haiti, at the Maison de Nassiance, which is funded by the Global Birthing Home Foundation. After years of working towards this goal, it’s finally time to be a midwife!
